Angie Rodriguez
Angie Rodriguez is a Supervisor of Transportation Electrification efforts at El Paso Electric company, an electric utility provider operating in West Texas and Southern New Mexico. She has worked in the electric utility industry for over 12 years, leading implementation of the first Texas Community solar Program, successful electrification of 30 electric school buses, coordination of many EV Ride and Drive events and launching a cash rewards residential managed charging program (that sends customers rewards directly to their PayPal or Venmo accounts).
Under Angie’s leadership, El Paso Electric secured an approval of utility’s transportation electrification programs in both Texas and New Mexico with a combined budget of over $22 million that the company plans to spend over next 2 years. Under the approved programs, El Paso Electric is offering a variety of rebates that can be applied towards qualifying EV infrastructure projects and can be stacked on top of federal, state or other incentives. This year Angie’s team is launching an innovative “charging-as-a-service” program in Texas, which will allow commercial customers to finance EV charging infrastructure projects through their utility bill.
